Next, DSU President Jekuk Chang addressed attendees, saying “I would like to express my gratitude to the parents and relatives who believed in our university and entrusted their children to us. We will do our best to nurture your children into great talents with both character and ability.”
Addressing the new students, he continued, “It’s such a pity that I couldn’t meet you all in person at the entrance ceremony due to COVID19. It is also frustrating that, currently, international exchanges have stalled. But the virus cannot block your path, and we all eagerly look forward to overcoming it soon, and seeing you on campus and restarting your overseas opportunities. Our university is the only university with overseas campuses in the United States, China, and Japan. Be sure to seize the opportunity to go abroad while attending school. We hope that at DSU, you will take advantage of the numerous overseas programs that we provide to give wings to your dreams.”
President Chang concluded with the advice that, “First, as a student at DSU, be proud of yourself and set grand goals for your life. Second, get into the habit of doing your best every day. Third, develop your own unique talent.” Also, “For our part, our university will support you with the heart of a troubled mother for the next four years. Once again, I sincerely congratulate the new students for the class of 2022, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the parents, relatives, and staff who joined us. New students, I sincerely hope to see you in person on our beautiful campus soon. Thank you very much!
