The Korea Artificial Intelligence Ethics Association (KAIEA) has signed a Joint Education and Business Cooperation Agreement for Artificial Intelligence Manpower Nurturing with the DSU SW Center University Project Team.

Through this agreement, the KAIEA and the SW Center agreed to establish a close educational cooperation system to cultivate experts in the fields of software and artificial intelligence (AI), and to actively promote joint research and projects. In particular, under this agreement: an AI and ethics education curricu- lum will be jointly developed; related teaching plans and textbooks are to co-authored; experts are to be shared between both institutions; faculty members will offer mutual support; joint college student career camps and club programs on the topics of AI and ethics education will be operated; and joint academic conferences will be held.

The KAIEA is a non-profit organization actively engaged in the research, certification, education, and dissemination of AI ethics and safety issues, while the SW Center has been responsible for establishing DSU’s AI education system since being selected as a software-oriented university by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2019; ensuing features include the opening of an AI deep track and AI convergence major, with the aim towards cultivating and strengthening local cultural content AI and software convergence talents. In addition, the SW Value Spreading Center, by operating various software education programs such as camps, special lectures, and competitions for local residents and youth, is helping DSU to spread AI and software education to the local community, and is solidly positioning DSU as a leading university for nurturing AI and software talent.
